Want a Feeling of going into an Old Fashion Berkshires Candy Store?
One of The Berkshires Treasures for shopping is Charles H. Baldwin & Sons.
It is located at 1 Center Street in West Stockbridge, MA 01226.
When we found the store a few years ago it was like bringing out the child in us again. It’s an old fashion candy store, with lots of good candies and they make and sell their own homemade flavoring oils, spices and extracts. They sell unique gifts that you don’t see in the big stores in the shopping malls. The service was excellent – the owner was proud to tell us about the history of Charles H. Baldwin & Sons. The store was established in 1888 and is still run by the Baldwin family.
This shop is very original, you won’t find the run of the mill stuff here. They have a great selection of inexpensive funny little toys and gifts, they are great for Christmas stockings.
They even have a photobooth machine that we had fun with.
